About the Client
Anthony Hanna is the founder of BahamaGo Travel Agency, a platform that simplifies booking travel across the Bahama Islands. BahamaGo offers unique travel options not available on other sites, helping travelers find the best trips for their needs. Anthony and his team have been our clients since 2012.
Challenge
BahamaGo needed a reliable online platform that would make booking travel between the Bahama Islands simple, transparent, and convenient. The system had to bring together multiple services—flights, hotels, transfers, and tours—while handling complex pricing rules and integrating with various third-party providers.
Krononsoft was engaged to modernize the platform, streamline data flow, and build a scalable foundation for long-term growth.

Solution
Our team took over an existing Ruby on Rails codebase and reengineered it for stability, scalability, and ease of maintenance. Following a test-driven development approach, we refactored legacy components and gradually introduced new functionality without disrupting existing workflows.
Key functionality delivered:

Hotel customization. Enabled hotels to personalize their pages with unique branding, logos, and styles.

Hotel promotions. Added tools for hotels to publish special offers and ads directly on the platform.

Hotel system integration. Synced room availability and booking data with a cloud-based hotel management system.

Airline integration. Connected multiple local airline providers to display and manage real-time flight availability.

Package booking and pricing. Implemented combined pricing for flights, hotels, and tours, including taxes, fees, and promotions.

Payment and confirmation. Integrated a secure payment gateway with automated booking confirmation and receipt generation.

Admin management area. Built an internal dashboard for viewing, tracking, and managing customer bookings.

Partner API. Developed a REST API allowing third-party partners to access BahamaGo’s booking capabilities.

Performance and reliability. Deployed continuous monitoring and error tracking using New Relic and Rollbar.
