About the client

Kaizenology is Stéphane Rogovsky's advisory and dealmaking company specializing in M&A, capital raising, and strategic transactions. Challenge

Kaizenology required an independent sanity review of a confidential AI infrastructure IP portfolio. They didn’t need a full due diligence or security audit. The objective was to verify the functionality of the main software module, assess the technical consistency of the delivered source code package, and provide an objective engineering assessment to support further evaluation.

  • Verify implementation. Validate that the main SPRF module could be executed locally and behaved as described in the technical documentation.
  • Evaluate technical consistency. Review the source code package and supporting modules for alignment with the documented requirements.

Solution

Krononsoft conducted a technical code review and validation of an AI infrastructure module and its associated source code package. The engagement focused on verifying the implementation, evaluating technical consistency, assessing performance, identifying technical issues and areas for improvement.

Technical implementation review

  • Reviewed the core AI module, verified local deployment and execution.
  • Validated API functionality and tested key behavioral scenarios, including new requests, duplicate detection, session handling, and related processing logic.

Source code and documentation assessment

  • Compared the source code package against the accompanying technical documentation.
  • Reviewed supporting modules to confirm technical consistency between the documented design and implemented functionality.

Performance testing

  • Performed local load testing using Locust to evaluate response times, throughput, and stability under representative test scenarios.
  • Verified successful request processing and analyzed system behavior under varying concurrency levels.

Engineering recommendations

  • Identified opportunities to improve automated test coverage, dependency management, code organization, and technical documentation.
  • Conducted a follow-up review after selected improvements were implemented and provided an updated technical assessment.
