Challenge
Seeking an entry into the U.S. market, the client’s research revealed significant demand for Montessori products — a distinct niche within educational toys underserved by major U.S. retailers. To capture this opportunity, they launched the MontiPlanet project and engaged KrononSoft to deliver the solution.
The objective was to build a custom e-commerce platform giving U.S. buyers access to Montessori toys, materials, and furniture while laying the groundwork for expansion to more countries. Key priorities included:
-
Maximize search engine visibility (SEO)
-
Achieve the best possible Google performance scores
-
Develop a scalable, cost-efficient solution
Solution
We leveraged our collaborative approach to deliver a custom e-commerce platform tailored to MontiPlanet’s U.S. launch and long-term global expansion goals. The solution prioritized SEO, performance, and cost-efficient technology choices. To achieve this, our team:
-
Selected modern, SEO-friendly technology. Next.js as the core framework delivered high performance, fast loading times, and full SEO capabilities. Tailwind UI accelerated interface development, while WooCommerce provided a cost-effective product database before migrating to a custom inventory system.
-
Implemented a keyword-driven site structure. Product categories, filters, and landing pages were built around detailed keyword research to maximize visibility and relevance in search results.
-
Created a scalable product catalog. Dynamic filtering and automated content generation enabled over a billion unique landing pages, each optimized with descriptive URLs, breadcrumbs, and category information.
-
Optimized for Google performance metrics. Technical enhancements improved loading speed, accessibility, and best practices compliance, resulting in pages scoring 80–90% on Google performance tests.
-
Ensured close collaboration and transparency. The client communicated directly with the development team, without intermediaries, enabling rapid feedback, shared decision-making, and faster problem-solving.
-
Laid the foundation for international rollout. After the U.S. launch, regional versions for Canada, the UK, Australia, Belgium, and the Netherlands were added and later unified under a custom inventory management system.
